Isabel Díez, Bilbao 1966.

The work of Isabel focuses on natural landscapes.  Her eye takes in the vicinity around her own home and remote corners of the planet in search of texture, shapes and light with which to build the idealised world of her images.  Individual and group exhibitions both in Spain and abroad.  Participates in photographic encounters giving talks (Bilbo Argazki, Asamblea FONAMAD, Veritas University of Costa Rica, TOTOGENIO, MontPhoto, AEFONA Conference, etc.) and conducts workshops on her speciality (DONOSTIMAGEN, AFTDAO, Fotonatur Noja). Was member of the project "Objetivo Pura Vida" undertaken by the Spanish Embassy in Costa Rica to offer a portrait of the extraordinary biodiversity of this Central American country.  Directs and coordinates the magazine IRIS of the Spanish Association of Nature Photographers (AEFONA) since 2011. Member of the group Portfolio Natural.  In 2009 published the book ‘Al Filo de las Mareas’, a monograph which reflects her admiration and curiosity for coastal landscapes. Her photographs have been awarded in highly prestigious international contests such as the  European Wildlife Photographer of the Year - GDT, Nature's Best Photography and Glanzlichter. She also participates regularly as a member of the jury in photographic contests (Asferico, MontPhoto, FOTOCAM, Asisa Foto, etc.)
